Association of School

Personnel Administrators, Inc.

Dear NYSASPA Colleagues,

It is with great pride and gratitude that I step into the role of President of the New York State Association of School Personnel Administrators. I am honored by the trust you have placed in me and deeply appreciative of the strong foundation built by the leaders who have come before me.

NYSASPA has a long and meaningful history—one rooted in collaboration, professionalism, and service. As we continue our work together, it is important that we honor the past by recognizing the dedication, advocacy, and quiet leadership that have shaped this organization, while also shaping the future by embracing innovation, growth, and new ways to support our members in an ever-changing educational landscape.

Our members are the backbone of school operations across New York State. Every day, school personnel administrators navigate complex challenges with integrity, expertise, and an unwavering commitment to staff and students. The strength of NYSASPA lies in this collective experience and in our willingness to learn from one another—whether through committees, webinars, conferences, or the everyday exchange of ideas that makes this association so special.

As we look ahead, my focus is on strengthening connections among our members while continuing to expand opportunities for professional learning, leadership, and advocacy. The work we do today—sharing best practices, mentoring emerging leaders, and amplifying our professional voice—will help shape the future of school personnel administration across the state. I encourage each of you to stay engaged, get involved, and consider how your experience can help guide those who will follow in your footsteps.

Advocacy remains central to our mission. While much of our work happens behind the scenes, its impact is significant. Together, we will continue to build partnerships, elevate our profession, and ensure that the perspectives of school personnel leaders are represented in discussions that influence policy and practice throughout New York State.

I am grateful for the dedication of our Executive Committee, committee chairs, and volunteers who honor NYSASPA’s legacy through their service while helping to move our organization forward. Most importantly, I thank you—our members—for your commitment to excellence and for the support you extend to one another.

I look forward to the year ahead and to working alongside you as we continue to honor where we have been and thoughtfully shape where we are going.

Here’s to a year of reflection, progress, and shared success.

Warm regards,

Hillary Brewer
NYSASPA President
